Definition | CSR
“Corporate Social Responsibility represents business taking more direct responsibility for managing its social and environmental impact, becoming more openly accountable not simply to employees and their trade unions, but also to wider 'stakeholders' including investors, consumers, local communities, environmental and other interest groups.”

Its not only about the businessmen but also about the whole organization. Every single employee needs so be part of the CSR process.
Perfect definition for me. Everyone, even the wider stakeholders should be considered.
Really good definition. Not only are social and environmental impact included but also the importance of internal and external stakeholders.
In my opinion also a very accurate definition, especially as wider stakeholders are listed as well. That shows how important it is to include all stakeholders and all possible interest groups.
A fundamentally good definition, since the wider stakeholders are considered. This definition shows that CSR is comprehensive and far-reaching.
As discussed in the lesson this definition focus on profit-orientated organizations only. Thus it lacks of perspectives and/or rules for organizations that are summarized as “wider stakeholders”, especially as “other interest groups”. These are – in a holistic view – as well players in the big game called human life on earth.
A very good defition, but one could argue that social responsibility is not only about “managing” the impact, but considering the impact in every action (which for me is more than managing it).
A very good definition, but I’d like to add that not only profit-oriented companies have to be held accountable but every organisation.
Very good definition because it also covers the stakeholder aspect of CSR.
I think the definition is really good, however I am the oppinion that CSR has more than an social and environmental impact. In my opinion this could be described in more detail.

Very good definition of CSR because it takes into account all stakeholders and makes clear how important it is to have a broad perspective in this topic.
This definition shows the perspective of the European Parliament and covers different aspects of CSR well. It could cover players with bullet points and tasks which would make it easier to compare.
I would not consider CSR only for a wider group of stakeholders. I would word it that the whole environment that is related to than organization should be included.
Personally, I like this definition. However CSR has more impact than only an environmental and social which could be described more precisely. Also other organizations should be included.
